While most domain transfers on DaaZ are completed smoothly, certain situations can cause a delay:
Registrar Lock
Newly registered or recently transferred domains may have a 60-day lock period during which they cannot be moved to another registrar.
In such cases, DaaZ delivers the domain via an internal push at the current registrar.
Incorrect Transfer Details
If a buyer provides incorrect registrar details (e.g., wrong account ID or email), the transfer may fail.
Expired Domains
If the seller’s domain is too close to expiry, they may need to renew it before transfer can be completed.
Seller Delay
Occasionally, sellers may delay initiating the transfer. Since sellers are only paid after handover, this is rare but can still happen.
Parallel Support – Our transfer agents actively monitor every deal to ensure the seller completes the process.
Escrow-like Safety – Sellers are only paid once the domain is successfully handed over to DaaZ.
Alternative Delivery – If a registrar lock exists, DaaZ ensures buyers get the domain via internal push until it is eligible for transfer.
Buyer Claim Window – Buyers have 30 days to claim their domain once it is delivered.
Check Your Registrar Details – Ensure the receiving account details are correct.
Contact Support – Use live chat or raise a ticket so our transfer team can investigate.
Be Patient with Locked Domains – If the 60-day ICANN lock applies, you will receive the domain in the current registrar until it can be moved.
If your domain transfer fails or gets delayed, don’t worry - DaaZ will make sure you receive your domain. Whether the issue is registrar lock, wrong details, or seller delay, our Buyer Protection ensures you never lose your purchase.
